ivegotaguy.ca is operated personally by Ian Gilchrist, an independent handyman based in Brampton, Ontario. In these terms, “I,” “me,” and “my” refer to Ian Gilchrist.
1. Website use and bookings
These terms govern use of this website. They apply to handyman services only when provided to you and accepted as part of your written job agreement. Browsing the website or requesting an estimate does not confirm a booking or authorize work. A booking is confirmed once we agree on the work and I accept the booking.
2. Scope of work
Your written quote or job agreement will identify the agreed work, materials and anticipated schedule. Website descriptions are general information and do not replace your job agreement. Changes to the agreed work require your written approval before proceeding.
3. Access, safety and permits
You must own the property or have permission to authorize the work. Please provide safe access to the work area, keep children and pets clear, and tell me about known hazards or relevant property conditions.
Unexpected damage, hidden conditions or safety concerns may require work to pause while we agree on next steps. Work requiring permits or licensed trades will not proceed unless the applicable requirements are met. Responsibility for obtaining any required permits will be identified in the job agreement.
4. Scheduling
If an appointment or completion date needs to change, please contact me as soon as possible. I will also notify you promptly of delays and discuss revised arrangements.
5. Website content and links
Website text, photographs and other content belong to Ian Gilchrist or their respective owners. You may use the content for personal reference, but may not reuse it commercially without the rights holder’s permission.
I aim to keep website information accurate but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. External websites have their own terms and privacy practices. These website qualifications do not exclude responsibility for handyman work or override your legal rights.
6. Ontario law and updates
Ontario law and applicable Canadian federal law govern these terms. Nothing here excludes rights or protections that cannot legally be excluded. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
Updated terms will be posted with a new date. Changes do not alter an existing job agreement without your agreement.
